EQUINE FACILITATION LEARNING - EFL

Working with these amazing horses allows us to deliver Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL) .. a non traditional therapy program for anyone who's seeking a remedy for physical, mental or emotional issues; or anyone wanting to have some fun in an out door classroom.

"it has been clinically documented that just being around horses changes the brain wave patterns of humans"

The benefits of this program are that we calm down, we become more centred and focused, we gain confidence, we build our self-esteem, we develop independence, we develop trust and we gain employability skills such as problem solving, team work, communication, self-management, planning & decision making.

All this is done in a safe and supervised learning environment, conducted by Jess Garnett who has over 30 years horse handling experience, 5 years working and coaching experience at the Riding for the Disabled, 15 years VET (Vocational Education & Training) training & assessing experience, is currently completing EA Coaching qualifications and is a Level 1 EFL Facilitator... "the aim is to develop a partnership with horses by being aware, kind, thoughtful and considerate ... the same way that we would like to be treated".

Our mantra for both the horses and humans at all times is to:

BE CALM, BE SAFE, BE RESPECTFUL

We also offer Farm Day Visits, including activities such as:

  • Equine Facilitated Learning (EFL)/Horse handling & horse training demonstrations
  • Cattle viewing and/or feeding
  • Dog play & grooming
