Wine Bar

The Red Gum Licensed Bottle Shop enables people to browse and choose their wines. We are a big supporter of the Canberra districts cool climate wines. We also have a wide range of beers, spirits and mixers. The refurbishment has utilized both recycled timber and locally sourced new timber to restore the whole area using a combination of Iron Bark, Red Gum, Black But and Yellow Box

Very special features have been included in the restoration. Much of the 130 year old building has been preserved, even the old timber shingle roof can be seen in the restaurant area. The Star Saloon Bar get its name from the red gum star insert inlayed into the timber flooring. The railings around the walls are made from the raw tree edge of Iron Bark. The bar has become a major talking point, as it is a huge slab of beautiful Iron Bark, polished with a raw timber edge; it literally draws people to the beer taps.
